We’re looking for an Area Sales Representative to join our VIC Sales Team in taking ownership of Victoria and Tasmania, driving growth across our Foodservice and Retail channels. You’ll be trusted to run your territory, build demand, and represent our brand where it matters most — in front of customers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a VIC/TAS Area Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our market presence within the FMCG sector across Tasmania, the Melbourne Metro, and the Victorian Region. Your efforts will directly contribute to the growth and success of our business in Australia!
Reporting directly to the Foodservice Sales Manager (Southern Region), you’ll:
- Drive profitable sales growth across Foodservice and Retail channels in the VIC/TAS regions.

Build and grow relationships with our Foodservice end users (HORECA, pubs, clubs, caterers, takeaways and distributors) and select Retailers.
- Actively drive sales demand by calling primarily on end users to achieve sales targets.
- Win new business while expanding and protecting existing accounts.

Represent Hakka by conducting food tastings, trade shows, and menu presentations aligned with brand values.
- Upskill and educate distributors and end users on product preparation, application and key selling points.
- Attend networking and business development events to build network/brand awareness.
- Actively gather market intelligence and feed insights back to sales and marketing.
- Provide constructive input to the new product development process.

Develop and implement documented territory sales plans that align with national strategy to drive sales growth.

Update CRM database, ensuring customer calls and activities are accurately recorded, and new end user call targets are met.
- Manage outstanding payments and customer claims/issues in a timely and satisfactorily manner.
ABOUT YOU
- A valid Victorian driver’s licence, and willingness to travel within the region.
- Minimum 2 years experience in sales in Foodservice and/or Retail.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to negotiate, influence and close.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable presenting and cooking products for customers (commercial cooking qualifications highly regarded).
- Must be comfortable handling and presenting pork and beef products.
- Highly organised, self-driven and disciplined with time management.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Cantonese or Mandarin language skills advantageous, but not essential.
