Our Nursery division is where the Habitat Creations story began and is still the backbone of our entire operations, Our Wholesale Nursery grows several million indigenous aquatic and terrestrial plants per year, supplying the landscaping industry, state and local government, water authorities, catchment management authorities, private landholders and our own Landscaping and Environment projects.     The opportunity

    As a Junior Nursery Hand, you’ll play an important role in providing assistance to the Plant Production and Plant Health & Maintenance teams! You’ll fulfil a range of general duties including tray filling, stock movement, pot washing, and weed management, whilst gaining valuable experience in our skilled horticultural teams, including: pricking out, dividing and tubing up seedlings, labelling, record keeping, fertilising, and pest and disease management. Nursery work is challenging, diverse and rewarding teamwork in the great outdoors!     Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications

    • An enthusiasm for plants and the horticulture industry, and a thirst for knowledge
    • The ability to complete physical work in all weather conditions
    • Dexterity / fine motor skills
    • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
    • The ability to follow instructions and the confidence to ask questions if you’re unsure
    • Reliable and punctual
    • A friendly and positive mindset
    • Reliable transport to our Moe or Yarragon Nursery sites
