Centre Manager (Wollongong Central)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Centre Manager to lead the day to day management of Wollongong Central Shopping Centre. You will work closely with a supportive team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and maximise the overall performance of the Centre.

About the role

• Lead, mentor and support a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
• Prepare and implement long-term strategies for the Centre that meet shopper needs and align with the owner’s vision
• Maintain a vibrant casual mall leasing strategy to strengthen foot traffic and drive non-lease income streams
• Build strong relationships with retailers, contractors, the local community, and other stakeholders
• Contribute to marketing and branding strategies and assist retailers with marketing support
• Oversee financial management including budgeting, forecasting, arrears control and reporting
• Ensure compliance with lease administration, rent reviews and tenant obligations
• Manage the Centre to the highest standards of presentation, safety and risk management
• Work closely with the Operations Manager on OPEX and CAPEX programs, tenders and sustainability initiatives
• Identify opportunities for income growth and cost savings
• Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity, making recommendations for improvement

About you

• Experience as a Centre Manager or Retail Manager in a shopping centre environment, or in a similar retail property leadership role with strong capability across operations, financial performance and stakeholder engagement
• Tertiary qualifications in business or a related field (desirable)
• Strong financial and accounting skills, including budgeting, arrears management and reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management systems (e.g., MRI)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
• Proven experience leading teams and driving continuous improvement
• Good understanding of retail lease requirements and the drivers of a successful shopping centre
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
