We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to join our Somerville site and take full ownership of our Indoor and Outdoor production operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and have a passion for people leadership, process improvement, and delivering quality outcomes – we’d love to hear from you!

Some of the duties involve:

  • Lead and support a team of Area Leaders and casual staff in a high-volume production environment
  • Drive daily operations across plant and equipment use, team resourcing, and workflow prioritisation
  • Conduct daily and weekly meetings, ensuring clear communication, task allocation, and safety practices
  • Collaborate closely with Despatch, Potting and Growing teams to align production with delivery and sales targets
  • Oversee training, onboarding, performance appraisals, and staff development
  • Implement process improvements and support continuous operational efficiency
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure customer order fulfilment
  • Promote and uphold strong OH&S culture and SafeAg compliance
  • Coordinate with leadership on space allocation, production planning, and capacity forecasting

What we need from you

  • 1+ years in a Production Supervisor role
  • Experience leading a team of up to 8 Area Leaders and 10 casuals at any given time.
  • You’re physically fit – It’s pretty fast paced here, and you’ll be on your feet for long periods of time where tasks involve undertaking repetitive muscular movements. Ability to lift weight regularly throughout the day.
  • You’re reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn.
  • You’ve got great attention to detail and take pride in what you do.
  • You’re looking for a full-time leadership position.
  • Proactive in identifying improvements and implementing change
  • Horticulture or manufacturing experience preferred (but not essential)
  • Certification in Horticulture or similar preferred (but not essential)
