Are you after a role that keeps you moving (say goodbye to that gym membership!) and surrounds you with plants every day? Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or can’t tell a succulent from a seedling – no worries! We’ll teach you everything you need to know.
But let’s be real – if you’re chasing glamour, this probably isn’t the job for you. You’ll be working indoors and outdoors, hands-on with plants, in all weather conditions – rain, hail, or shine. It’s physical, fast-paced, and yes, you’ll likely end up dirty and sweaty. But if that sounds like your kind of day, we’d love to have you on our team!
Please note that this is a casual, seasonal position and work will only be available for the next eight weeks (up to Mother’s Day).
You’ll be in the heart of it all, working indoors and outdoors, hands-on with our stunning plants across both our Lyndhurst and Somerville sites.
Lifting and shifting stock around the nursery
Potting baby plants into their new homes
Picking and packing customer orders
Sowing seeds
Watering and spraying (once trained)
Cleaning, labelling, and learning about pest & disease
And more! (there’s always something to do and something new to learn)

What we need from you
You’re physically fit – It’s pretty fast paced here, and you’ll be on your feet for long periods of time where tasks involve undertaking repetitive muscular movements. Ability to lift weight regularly throughout the day.
You’re reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn.
You’ve got great attention to detail and take pride in what you do.
You enjoy working in a diverse, friendly team.
You’re happy to travel between our Lyndhurst and Somerville sites as needed, so your own car and license is essential.
Our application process consists of a phone interview, a group overview, and a pre-employment medical test.
