Katandra Station is a key backgrounding and transit depot within the Cunningham portfolio, running approximately 3,000 steers and 2,500 heifers on-station, and receiving 10,000–12,000 head annually moving through to southern properties.

We are currently seeking Station Hands to join our team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day operations of the station, working closely with the station team to ensure livestock welfare, infrastructure, and property standards are maintained.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Carry out cattle husbandry including mustering, drafting, processing and trucking
  • Daily monitoring of stock welfare, pasture condition and water points
  • Operate and maintain station machinery, vehicles and plant
  • Complete bore runs and maintain turkey nests, troughs, pipelines and pumps
  • Perform fencing, building and general station maintenance
  • Complete basic record keeping for water, stock numbers, maintenance and daily tasks
  • Work as a respectful, reliable and safety-focused team member
  • Represent Cunningham Cattle Co. professionally within the local community

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience with cattle and station work
  • Ability to ride horses and/or operate 2-wheel motorbikes safely
  • Strong communication skills, reliability and willingness to learn
