Gunn Agri Partners was established in 2013 and provides agricultural investment and farm management services for Australian, North American and European investors.

Gunn Agri Partners manages over $1.2bn of assets and commitments managed across five investment platforms. Gunn Agri manages agriculture assets Australia wide in mixed farming, grains, grass fed protein, tree nuts, stone fruit and natural capital.

We are now seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide senior financial leadership across our diverse investment platforms, partnering closely with executive leadership to drive performance, insight and governance at scale.

About the Role

As CFO (Platforms), you will oversee the entire finance function, including financial management, internal and external reporting and performance analysis across Gunn Agri’s investment platforms.

The platforms consist of an operating entity and land trust and include the following established businesses:

• Wollemi Farms

• Faulkner Farming

• Wilga Farming

• Meldora Land Management

This role is responsible for overseeing the finance function and financial reporting discipline across multiple platforms, while leading and developing a high-performing team of Financial Controllers to ensure consistent, high-quality financial functions and outcomes across all platforms.

You’ll balance strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, delivering high-quality financial insights that support operational decision-making and long-term value creation. Working closely with Managing Directors, asset managers and the CFO (Group), you’ll help drive consistency, discipline and continuous improvement across the business.

Based in Bondi Junction or Albury, with monthly travel to the alternate location, this role suits an accomplished finance leader with deep technical capability and experience in complex, multi-entity environments.

CA/CPA qualification and significant senior finance leadership experience required.

Experience within agriculture, agribusiness, banking, asset management or infrastructure-backed businesses will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Capability

• Lead, coach and develop Financial Controllers across all platforms

• Drive consistency in financial processes, reporting standards and controls

• Provide technical accounting guidance and operational finance support

• Partner with operations, asset managers and senior leaders to build accountability

Financial Reporting & Insights

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting

• Review and challenge management accounts and analysis

• Deliver meaningful financial insights to support decision-making

• Support commercial initiatives, investment analysis and planning

Budgeting, Forecasting & Governance

• Lead annual budgets and rolling reforecasts

• Strengthen financial controls and audit readiness

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legislation

• Collaborate with Group CFO on governance and risk matters

About You

You are a seasoned finance leader who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments and enjoys partnering closely with operational teams.

You will bring:

• CA/CPA qualification and a relevant degree

• 10+ years’ experience in senior finance leadership roles

• Strong technical accounting and hands-on capability

• Experience across agriculture, banking, asset management or similar sectors

• A collaborative leadership style with high attention to detail
