About the Role 

This is an opportunity for a capable and motivated operator or team leader to step into a leadership role within a well-run broadacre farming operation. 

Working closely with the Farm Manager, you’ll help coordinate day-to-day operations across the property, making sure cropping programs are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule. 

You’ll play a key role during critical seasonal periods such as planting and harvest, helping guide the team, operate machinery and keep operations running smoothly. 

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being out in the paddock, working with good equipment, and taking pride in getting the job done properly. 

If you’re already a Senior Operator who naturally steps up, takes responsibility and helps others, this is a great opportunity to turn that into a formal leadership role. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Coordinate day-to-day cropping operations including planting, spraying, fertilising and harvest 

• Operate and oversee modern agricultural machinery and precision farming equipment 

• Support and guide farm operators and seasonal staff 

• Work with the Farm Manager to deliver cropping programs and operational plans 

• Maintain machinery standards including pre-start checks and basic servicing 

• Assist with livestock operations and general farm duties where required 

• Promote strong safety practices and compliance with company systems 

• Contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency and farm performance 

About You 

This role will suit an experienced Senior Farm Hand, Machinery Operator or Leading Hand who is ready to take the next step in their career. 

You will likely bring: 

• Strong experience operating machinery in a broadacre cropping environment 

• Good understanding of seasonal cropping programs 

• A practical, hands-on approach to farming operations 

• Natural leadership ability and confidence supporting other operators 

• Experience with GPS guidance systems and modern machinery 

• A strong work ethic and commitment to safe work practices 

About the Property 

The Watermark Aggregation is a 6,000 Ha (~4,400Ha cropping) property located near Curlewis, 30km south of Gunnedah, 70km northwest of Quirindi, and 80km west of Tamworth. It is a diversified enterprise focusing on mixed cropping and grazing. 

Machinery & Equipment 

You’ll be working with modern, well-maintained machinery and precision farming technology, including equipment such as: 

• John Deere tractors and GPS guidance systems 

• Modern planting equipment 

• Self-propelled spray rig 

• Large-scale harvesting equipment
