A Disability Support Worker plays a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities. The primary responsibility of this role includes supporting people with disability to mobilise their NDIS Plan. This role can involve manual handling, community access, transportation, personal care, and companionship.

The role requires team members to implement a person-centred approach, be energetic and excited to make a difference in peoples’ lives promoting their independence, well-being, and community inclusion.

Essential

• Current CPR and First Aid Certificates
• Working with children card (Blue card)
• NDIS Worker Screening check (Yellow Card)
• Queensland driver’s licence
• Registered personal vehicle with comprehensive car insurance and a willingness to use for transporting clients
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding and commitment to the rights of individuals with disabilities.

Desirable

• Experience in working with individuals with disabilities.
• Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field.

Working Conditions

The position may require evenings, and weekends, and public holidays. Traveling to different locations to provide support and transport to multiple locations during a shift.
