Position Overview

Griffin Marine is currently seeking Boilermaker/Welders to join our expanding Sydney team. With a strong focus on maintenance and repairs to marine vessels, we have multiple positions available and IMMEDIATE START.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality welding and fabrication on marine vessels and structures
  • Proficient in various welding procedures and techniques, handling different types of welding with ease.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Inspect and test welds to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
  • Assist with the operation and maintenance of workshop equipment and tools
  • Collaborate with the wider fabrication team to support the delivery of projects

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of industry experience demonstrating strong adaptability in various work environments
  • Certified Boilermaker holding a recognized trade qualification.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work 40+ hours per week
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment
  • Previous experience using hand tools or power tools
  • Possess an OHS Construction Induction (White Card) – Required
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation – Required
  • Valid Confined Space, Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift and Fire Sentry tickets – Desirable
  • Ability to hold and Obtain a National Police Clearance with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance – Required
