Site Manager

Operations • Wetherill Park, New South Wales 2164, Australia • Full-time

Description

THE COMPANY

At Goterra, we believe climate change is the crisis of our time. We exist to help solve it. We’re re-imagining a future where nature and automation work in tandem to solve complex problems like reducing food waste and securing our food supply chain.

We are the change we want to see in the world. We strive and push as hard as we can for our economy and environment to reap the benefits of our dedicated research, relentless testing and state-of-the-art automated robotic infrastructure.

We process food waste using insects and turn this into to by products, animal protein and high grade fertilizer. And we do this, onsite, in modular, mobile insect farms.

We’re fast moving, agile and collaborative and we work relentlessly to make the world better, Billions of Tonnes Better.

THE ROLE

As Goterra’s Site Manager at Wetherill Park, you will lead the daily operations of our waste processing facility, where organic food waste is transformed into valuable by-products through the use of live larvae. Drawing on your experience in production, manufacturing, or a similar environment, you will oversee both people and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

Your responsibilities include maintaining site compliance and safety standards, coordinating maintenance and hygiene schedules, supervising and developing staff, and embedding Goterra’s culture and ways of working across the team. Through strong leadership and clear communication, you will ensure the site runs reliably and sustainably to support continuous operations.

Working closely with remote management teams across NSW and with our HQ in Canberra you will use your strong digital skills to help support other areas of the business and bridge the distance between the different sites through ongoing communication.

In return, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute directly to building a more sustainable future while working in a dynamic, collaborative start-up environment.
