Maintenance Officer

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Part-time or Full-time Maintenance Officer to join our team at Good Shepherd Lodge and Kerrisdale Gardens. The Maintenance Officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all equipment, buildings, and facilities within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

A trade qualification in Electrical (or similar) would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify any maintenance needs
• Follow maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment and facilities are properly maintained
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing filters, lubricating machinery, and cleaning equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and facilities as needed
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards

Qualifications:

• Tradesman – electrical qualified (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in maintenance and repair
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
