We are currently seeking part-time Dining Room Attendants at Kerrisdale Gardens, who are dedicated and empathetic to join our team and help provide our residents with exceptional dining experiences.
Role Overview:
As a Dining Room Attendant, you will play a key role in ensuring a positive and enjoyable dining experience for our residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with meal service, maintaining a clean and safe dining area, and contributing to a welcoming and homely atmosphere. You will collaborate with fellow team members to provide personalized care and support to our residents. This position requires availability from 1pm onwards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and clear dining areas, ensuring they are clean and well-presented at all times.
• Serve meals to residents in a courteous and efficient manner, adhering to individual dietary requirements.
• Assist residents with meal choices, ensuring they are comfortable and well-supported.
• Clean and sanitize dining tables, chairs, and kitchen equipment as required.
• Monitor resident feedback on meals and communicate any special dietary needs or preferences to the kitchen team.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with residents and their families.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
• Assist with any other tasks related to meal service and resident care as directed by supervisors.
About You:
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an aged care or healthcare setting, is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient, with a commitment to providing high-quality care to older adults.
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a busy environment.
• Hospitality or Food Handling qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Hospitality) are desirable but not essential.
• Current Flu Vaccination or willingness to obtain one.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Must be available to work in the afternoons, from 1pm onwards.
