About the role:
We’re looking for an Operations Manager to join our team. As Dellapool transitions from development into full-scale olive production, this role requires a proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment – someone who can build systems from the ground up, anticipate challenges, and drive progress as the development evolves.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee the farming team to deliver the farm operating program including assisting in procurement and maintenance.
- Ensure farm hygiene by monitoring and maintaining the on-farm resources and assets – irrigation infrastructure, machinery, shedding and other.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Plan and control inventory levels to ensure critical spare parts and required fertiliser are always on hand.
- Develop and maintain appropriate maintenance manuals for periodic checking and general servicing of all equipment.
- Lead all safety programs including reporting, team training, toolbox talks, pre-start checks and ensure all incidents are reported in accordance with company policy
- Identify any opportunities to improve on-farm WH&S procedures and reporting.
- Maintain real-time farm records using data management programs
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of key contractors working on-site, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the Dellapool development plan
- Lead an efficient & effective communication program with the General Manager, ensuring No Surprises.
- Establish and facilitate efficient communication lines between team members, contractors and any other key parties.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to ensure clarity of instructions, reporting, and collaboration across teams and management.

- Grow your knowledge by learning about the latest farming innovations, trends and technology, with a view of ‘how can we improve what we currently do’ and provide feedback on any ideas/learnings
About you:
You enjoy working with people, take pride in doing things well, and want to be part of something with real purpose.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in farm operations and management
- Drivers Licence
- Experience with people management and direction.
- Experience in a farm development environment would be favoured
- Chemical handling accreditation or willingness to obtain it.
- Ability to work within a small, collaborative, dynamic team
- Attention to detail and strong awareness of prioritisation.
- A good problem solver, ability to work to time restraints and is results and outcome focussed.
- A focus and dedication for setting and maintaining high standards

In addition, this role is offering
- Base salary between $90,000 – $110,000 per annum
- Short Term Incentive (STI) of up to 10% of your salary
