Description

Godolphin is currently seeking two experienced gardeners with a strong background in horticulture and garden maintenance to join our team at Woodlands, located near Denman in the beautiful Hunter Valley, NSW.

Reporting to the Head Gardener, you will be responsible for the care and presentation of the stud’s gardens, landscaped areas, lawns, and outdoor recreational spaces throughout the property. These roles play an important part in ensuring the gardens are consistently maintained to the highest standard, contributing to both operational excellence and visitor experience at Woodlands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain gardens, lawns, landscaped areas, and surrounds to a high presentation standard
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment and irrigation systems
  • Carry out mowing, pruning, hedging, and seasonal garden maintenance
  • Monitor plant and turf health, including planting, weed, pest, and disease control
  • Support the Head Gardener in maintaining safe work practices and overall site presentation

You are motivated, reliable, and detail driven individuals who take real pride in their work and are committed to maintaining the exceptional presentation that Woodlands is known for.

Skills and Experience

  • A genuine passion for horticulture and a strong eye for detail
  • Relevant horticulture qualifications (preferred)
  • Minimum of three years’ practical experience in a similar role (preferred)
  • Current Chemical Certificate (preferred but not essential)
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
