Group Content Manager (Parental Leave cover)

Marketing Team • Sydney, New South Wales 2000, Australia • Full-time

Description

Hi! We’re Go-To, and we’ve been looking for you.

A little bit about us

We love skincare and think we’re pretty good at making it. Our specialty is uncomplicated skincare that your skin is going to love.

About the role

We’re on the hunt for a Group Content Manager (Parental Leave Cover) to lead content across the Go-To universe while one of our stars is off doing very important baby-related things.

Reporting into the Marketing Director, this role is the strategic and content lead for our brand voice setting direction, standards and tone across all channels and campaigns. You’ll be responsible for how Go-To sounds, feels and shows up in the world, ensuring everything is unmistakably us: warm, generous, clever and never trying too hard.

This role is both high-level and hands-on. You’ll lead a talented team of content creators, partner closely with our Creative Lead, and work across brand, digital, e-commerce and community to deliver beautiful, effective, end-to-end campaigns. You’ll shape messaging frameworks, guide execution and ensure all content ladders up to a clear, considered strategy—while still jumping in where needed to keep things moving.

You’ll also bring a sharp eye for performance, using insights and data to continually refine how we communicate, connect and convert. If you love leading people, shaping campaigns, and keeping a brand’s voice strong as it scales—this one’s for you.

What you’ll be responsible for

You’ll lead the Go-To brand voice across all content and channels, setting clear standards and ensuring consistency across campaigns, emails, websites, social, packaging and offline materials.

You’ll be the final sense-check, making sure everything sounds like Go-To and feels genuinely delightful.

You’ll lead end-to-end content for campaigns and launches in close partnership with the Creative Lead, from early briefing and messaging frameworks through to execution and optimisation, ensuring campaigns are cohesive, on-brand and delivered seamlessly across all touchpoints.

You’ll provide strategic direction for content across Go-To and Bro-To, guiding how our tone of voice adapts for different demographics. You’ll work closely with the brand team to ensure our messaging resonates with our audience and reflects how they actually talk, think and feel.

You’ll oversee content strategy for our edms, website and blogs, managing editorial direction and working with writers to ensure everything we publish is informative, engaging and unmistakably Go-To.

You’ll collaborate with digital and e-commerce to optimise web content, SEO and on-site copy, using data, reporting and testing to inform decisions and improve performance over time.

You’ll lead, mentor and support a team of four content team members, setting priorities, providing feedback and creating a culture of collaboration, craft and accountability.

You’ll oversee proofing and quality control across all content outputs from marketing materials and packaging to press releases and campaign decks—ensuring every detail is considered, even the tiny print.

You’ll also ensure our offline content is just as strong as our online presence, creating and editing materials that bring the Go-To voice to life wherever our customers meet us.

What we’re looking for

  • Senior experience leading content for a consumer brand or agency
  • Proven ability to set content strategy and lead end-to-end campaigns
  • Strong people leadership experience, with a collaborative, calm style
  • Exceptional writing and editorial judgment with deep brand voice expertise
  • Confidence working cross-functionally with creative, brand, digital and e-commerce teams
  • Data-literate, using insights to inform content and campaign decisions
  • Highly organised, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine passion for brand building and creating content customers love

The Important Bits

This is a parental leave cover role based in Sydney, with a flexible WFH policy. Salary is TBD depending on experience.

At Go-To, we make things fun that have no right to be. We’re a small but growing company that values creativity, cleverness, collaboration and culture. We love fun parties, full biscuit tins, flexibility and a healthy work-life balance. And yes, we also like the colour peach—in moderation.

We don’t consider race, religion, colour, national origin, age, gender, disability, marital status, or your feelings about pineapple on pizza when recruiting.

Does this sound like you? We hope so.
