The Role

Join our Portfolio Management team as an Assistant Portfolio Manager (Fixed Income). You’ll help manage our suite of ETFs, ensure funds meet their investment objectives, and collaborate across teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day management of Global X’s ETFs, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and guidelines

• Identify and execute trades for index changes, cash flows, corporate actions, and currency hedging

• Monitor capital markets activity and ETF exposures relative to underlying indices

• Analyse and manage tracking error, proactively resolving issues

• Liaise with market makers and service providers

• Prepare reports for management, regulators, and data vendors

• Improve operational processes and procedures

• Respond to ad hoc requests from sales teams and clients

• Collaborate with investment operations, risk & compliance, and finance

• Contribute to product development from concept to implementation

• Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements

About You

• Degree-level education (or equivalent); progress toward CFA or similar is a plus

• 1–3 years’ experience in Fixed Income asset management/trading (or similar)

• Strong technical knowledge of financial products, especially Fixed Income securities

• Analytical and numerical skills for portfolio and risk metrics

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; other programming languages a plus

• Ability to prioritise and make decisions in tight timeframes

• Strong risk management mindset and problem-solving orientation

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
