Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This role will provide core record keeping, accounts management, reconciliation and financial reporting on behalf of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience in these areas and have worked independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or Quickbooks/Intuit
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Strong numeracy skills and skilled with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets)
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or related field, ideally a Bachelors degree
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or MYOB
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage work independently and meet deadlines
