Purpose of Role
As a Site Engineer at GVG, your primary purpose is to ensure that construction activities on site align with the GVG way and comply with contract documents, standards, and legislation. By collaborating with the site team members, QA Manager, Continuous Improvement team, Subcontractors, and Suppliers you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the customers’ expectations are met
Role Outline and Key Objectives
Quality Assurance
- Maintenance and execution of Project Quality Action Plans
- Creation of Subcontractor and GVG Inspections
- Timely and progressive completion of ITPs
- Coordination, development, observations, and reporting
Time
- Monitoring the program and advising on programmed works
- Updating inspection schedules to align with project changes
- Site Collaboration and Administration
- Verification of products and systems
- Collaboration with sub trades for passive fire requirements
- Completion of project register and raising of RFI’s as required
Safety
- Completing HOMESAFE Inspections
- Raising observations for safety issues and improvements
- Continuous Improvement, Training, and Development
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for upskilling and knowledge enhancement
Quals
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:-
- Carpentry or building trade background or general construction related tertiary qualification
- First Aid Certificate
Skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of document management systems and project management software
