Galambila Aboriginal Corporation is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service committed to delivering culturally safe, high-quality primary health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.

About the Role

• Culturally Safe Practice: Implementing care that is free from racism, respectful of Indigenous culture, and acknowledges the importance of family and community in healing.

• Clinical Care & Management: Conducting advanced health assessments, creating care plans, administering medications, and managing chronic conditions.

• Primary Health & Prevention: Delivering immunisations, health screenings, and early intervention programs.

• Advocacy & Navigation: Supporting patients in navigating complex healthcare systems and advocating for them, particularly when accessing hospital services.

• Community Engagement: Working with community members, families, and stakeholders to improve health outcomes and provide education.

• Collaboration: Working closely with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, doctors, and allied health staff

About You

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in primary health care, community health or general practice Strong organisational skills and ability to review clinical records Excellent communication and patient engagement skills Commitment to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
