Senior Product Manager
Banjo | Melbourne CBD
High-growth SME non-bank lender, owning the strategy and performance of core lending products
and working closely with Sales, Marketing, Credit and Technology in a fast-paced, collaborative
team.
The Company
Banjo is a national online lender providing business loans and asset finance to small and medium
Australian businesses, headquartered in the Melbourne CBD. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Banjo
focuses on simple, fast access to capital so innovative businesses can move quickly, backed by
streamlined processes and brilliant business lending solutions.
The Role
As Senior Product Manager, you will be accountable for the success of Banjo’s core lending products
(Business Term Loan and Commercial Asset Finance) across their full lifecycle. You will set the
product vision and roadmap, drive improvement of product features and experiences, and partner
closely with Sales, Marketing, Credit, Operations and Technology.
You will lead product discovery and prioritisation, shape initiatives from idea to business case and
high-level requirements, and work with our Product Delivery Manager and technology teams to
deliver tangible outcomes. You will own change management and performance measures for key
initiatives, ensuring the impact on customers, brokers and the business is clearly understood and
communicated.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys setting direction while getting into the detail in a
small, fast-paced and highly collaborative environment
Key Responsibilities
• Own product strategy, roadmap and lifecycle for Banjo’s SME lending products, aligned to
business objectives and risk appetite.
• Define and maintain a clear product vision, value proposition and positioning across
customer and broker channels.
• Use customer insights, broker feedback, competitor analysis and portfolio data to identify
and deliver improvements to features, pricing, policies, processes and experiences.
• Lead product discovery and prioritisation, build and maintain a clear backlog and roadmap,
and develop high-level business cases for investment.
• Translate opportunities into initiative scopes and high-level business requirements,
providing ongoing product direction through delivery.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing and Broker teams on go-to-market, product collateral and
sales enablement.
• Partner with Credit and Risk to evolve credit policy and decisioning rules that support
sustainable growth and portfolio quality.
• Lead business readiness and change management for product and process changes,
including communications and training.
• Map and refine customer and broker journeys to remove pain points and improve digital
and human experiences.
• Define and track key product metrics (e.g. volumes, conversion, yields, loss metrics,
utilisation, NPS, broker satisfaction, time-to-yes/time-to-cash) and report performance to
leadership.
About You
• Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, economics, finance, technology, or related
discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 7–10+ years in Product Management or related roles in financial services, lending or fintech;

and business cases.
• Highly skilled in stakeholder management and collaboration, able to build trust and
alignment across Sales, Marketing, Credit, Risk, Operations and Technology.
• Comfortable in a small, entrepreneurial, hands-on environment and able to switch between
strategy and detail.
• Excellent problem-solving, structured thinking and communication skills, with the ability to
