Take the next step into leadership | Career progression to Factory Manager
FTI Group is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Despatch / 2IC to join our team. This role is perfect for a motivated Team Leader or Supervisor who is ready to step up and develop into a future Factory Manager over the next 2–3 years.
As the second-in-charge to our Factory Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing our Door Frame Despatch and QA operations, ensuring our production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
• Oversee daily Door Frame Despatch and Quality Assurance operations
• Ensure production targets are met across volume, quality, and timelines
• Maintain a strong focus on continuous improvement and cost reduction
• Ensure all door frames are packed, strapped, and loaded within despatch timeframes
People Leadership
• Lead and support the QA Team and Door Frame Despatch Team
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and engagement
• Report team performance and productivity to the Factory Manager
• Provide operational coverage in the Factory Manager’s absence
Maintenance & Equipment
• Ensure all machinery and equipment are properly maintained and operational
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and downtime to minimise production impacts
• Oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment runs smoothly and safely
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
• 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing (despatch, production, QA or similar)
• Experience leading teams (10 or more) as a Team Leader or Supervisor
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement
• Aspiration to grow into a Factory Manager role within 1-2 years
• Experience in manufacturing and production
