Production Team Member

Fresh Leaf is a fast growth fresh herb and leafy greens business with significant growth opportunities from operational expansion and optimisation of our sustainable farming models. We’re focused on evolving a traditional industry of leafy vegetable growing from diminishing market gardeners to a new technology driven and sustainable format.

The Role:

As a result of ongoing growth we have several openings for Production team members to help package and process our herb harvests based at our farm in Devon Meadows.

Working with a wide range of herbs including basil, coriander and sage, if you have a passion for herbs this role is for you.

The Production Team members make sure our herbs are all of a high quality and packed to specification. for dispatch to supermarkets, wholesalers and retailers. With our focus on freshness Production Team members work quickly to ensure products get to retailers as soon as possible.

To help ensure the herbs stay fresh, the Production team members work in a cool room environment. Depending on customers this role selects herbs from boxes and places them in sleeves or punnets, ensuring a quality product is ready to go out to stores.

Should you be successful in this role, you will be joining a team of up to 40 production staff, working from 6 am to 2 pm daily. These positions can be permanent, either full time or part time (minimum 24 hours) positions on a rotating 6-day roster, Monday – Saturday. We can also look at casual positions.

It is required that all successful candidates have:

Valid working rights in Australia

Ability to work well in a team

Transport to the worksite, as there is no public transport

Are available to work Saturdays

Remuneration will be paid under the Horticulture Award, starting at level 1 ($21.38) for staff with no experience, with an expectation they process to level 2 ($21.97) after completing probation.
