About the Role

As the National Parts Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the procurement, distribution, and overall efficiency of our parts division. You will lead a team, implement best industry practices, and drive continuous improvements in inventory management, supplier relationships, and customer service. Additionally, you will integrate technology into business operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of parts supply chains, and the drive to improve processes and performance on a national scale, this position has a Profit and Loss responsibility, and retail Parts Sales are a critical part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the national parts inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and availability.

• Implement strategies to improve retail sales revenue and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing parts team across multiple locations.

• Improve the retail parts revenue, via quote accuracy and first-time fill rates

• Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce lead times.

• Bring best industry practices to streamline operations and enhance overall performance.

• Leverage technology to improve inventory tracking, reporting, and order fulfilment processes.

• Analyse purchasing habits to identify trends and improve procurement strategies.

• Seek out and establish relationships with international suppliers to enhance product offerings and cost-effectiveness.

• Develop and implement minimum sell strategies and GP margin targets to drive profitability.

• Optimize inventory management processes, including stock turn and critical parts holding.

• Manage freight and shipping operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of parts.

• Work closely with internal departments to align parts operations with business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in parts management, supply chain, or logistics, preferably within the materials handling, automotive, or heavy equipment industry.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.

• Experience in the management and success of retail sales, meeting targets and customer satisfaction levels

• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management abilities.

• Data-driven mindset with experience in inventory control and forecasting.

• Ability to integrate and leverage technology to drive operational improvements.

• Expertise in cost reduction strategies, stock turn optimization, and critical parts management.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive operational excellence.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
