KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Based out of our Canning Vale, WA branch, the primary objective of the Hydraulic Application Engineer is to ensure our products meet and exceed customer requirements by providing specialist technical advice and assistance at point of customer contact.
The core competency of this role will be Product solution – You will also undertake specialised projects as directed by Senior Product Manager (or nominee).
- Provide technical advice, assistance and support for the field sales team, customer service, internal sales & customers
- Action Product enquiries and documentation as directed
- Assist with the development and maintenance of sales and marketing tools, including competitor cross-reference database
- Processing internal product quotations
- Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality and performance
- Assist in coordination of the collection and dissemination of technical information
- Assist in specifying product requirements for current and future markets, based upon market and customer research
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Tertiary qualification, preferably pertaining to Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- Extensive experience within the fluid power industry which demonstrates a high degree of technical knowledge
- Proven ability to demonstrate product application of fluid power components and systems
- High proficiency in MS Office suite (in particular spread sheets and documents)
- Knowledge of MS Project (or other Project Management software)
