Fridge Mechanic/Electrician

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Fridge Mechanic/Electrician to join our team on Fitzroy Island, Queensland. This permanent, full-time role is essential for maintaining and repairing refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our maintenance operations and enhancing customer satisfaction through reliable service. Daily commute from Cairns provided – we’ll cover your ferry transport.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems and electrical components.
• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
• Install new refrigeration units and electrical systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve service delivery and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to clients.

Qualifications:

• Relevant trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning or electrical engineering.
• Proven experience as a fridge mechanic or electrician, preferably in a similar industry.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and electrical circuits.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
