The Role:
The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for building the bridge between the Commercial and BI function and the Data Engineering team, ensuring that data pipelines, models, and business outputs are accurate, efficient, and aligned with commercial priorities.
The role requires strong technical capability in SQL, DBT, Snowflake and analytical tools, paired with the ability to turn data into meaningful commercial insights. The ideal candidate has also taken their first steps into applied AI, using AI tools to accelerate analysis, automate tasks, and support decision making.
What you will be doing:
- Serve as the primary connection point between the Commercial and BI team and the Data Engineering team
- Develop analytical datasets that support profitability, margin, pricing, churn, employer mix, and penetration analysis
- Design and deliver Power BI datasets, visuals and models that meet executive reporting needs
- Use SQL, DBT and Snowflake to develop and optimise datasets for analytical use
- Work with engineers to understand new data pipelines and suggest improvements that enhance analytical usability
- Enhance data quality and governance, improving modelling efficiency and embedding practical AI capability across the data and commercial function
- Work cross functionally and collaboratively across different departments including finance, product, sales and data engineering
About You:
- Genuinely curious and passionate about health, wellness, and fitness
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with DBT, Snowflake and Power BI
- Understanding of data pipelines, ETL and ELT processes, and how to optimise them for analytics
- Evidence of applying AI tools in practical workflows such as analysis acceleration, data quality checks or rapid prototyping
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to connect large datasets to margin, pricing and performance outcomes
- Experience working in high volume data environments such as insurance, logistics, financial services, telco or similar industries
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to align technical and business stakeholders.
