First Light Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our friendly and professional team at First Light Healthcare Ballina.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our team. The applicant must be professional, efficient, hardworking & have the ability to create a good rapport with our patients & team. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, passion, committed to the role & willing to work collaboratively with our team of nurses. Full time and Part time positions are available.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• General treatment room duties
• Chronic Disease Management
• Preparation & education in Care Planning
• Health Assessments
• ECG/Spirometry/Audiometry
• All Childhood Immunisations & general vaccinations
• Wound care
• Assisting with minor and complex procedures
• Cold chain management
• Ordering of medical supplies
• Triage
• the Co-ordination of patient recalls and results utilising HotDocs software
• Sterilising of Medical Equipment
• COVID-19 Vaccination protocol & guidelines
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to follow procedure and be confident in decision making skills
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with the practice team
• Effective use of registers and reminder systems to prompt intervention and promote best practice care
• Participate in the development and implementation and evaluation of relevant policies and procedures

About you

• Current registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse
• A minimum of 1 years+ General Practice nursing experience
• Experience with care plans and health assessments
• Applicants are to be consistently warm, caring and empathetic with patients, fellow nurses and administration.
• We desire an individual who can work independently and as a team member.
• Experience with Best Practice software highly regarded but not essential.
