  • About the role
  • Working with our award winning advisers as part of an Advice team, our Associate Advisers work to deliver an outstanding client experience through exceptional advice. As an Associate Adviser you are a main contact point for clients and play an integral part in the preparation of strategies for a diverse range of new and ongoing clients. You will have oversight of our dedicated Client Services and Paraplanning Teams, and will support advisers with developing and reviewing high quality client collateral. Associate Advisers have significant opportunity to utilize and grow strong technical abilities and client engagement skills with regular client exposure and engagement. You will also have the benefit of regular training, mentoring and structured support as part of our Professional Year Program.
  • Key responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Head of Private Wealth, the responsibilities of the Associate Adviser role include:
  • • Supporting Advisers and their Advice team in the delivery of quality advice, including responsibility for reviewing advice documents and client reports;
  • • Assist the Advisers to provide holistic and strategic financial planning and investment advice including specialist across Superannuation & Retirement Planning; Investments; Cash flow & Financial Modelling, Personal Insurance; and Estate planning;
  • • Prepare for, and take part in, client meetings with the Advisers and other team members;
  • • Act as the initial point of contacts for queries from clients and ensure exceptional client service is provided at all times;
  • • Coordinate with support teams within the business (including paraplanning and client service teams), to produce, present and implement holistic advice;
  • • Completion of Records of advice and other client facing documents;
  • • Coordinate tasks pre and post client meetings;
  • • Support advisers in meeting their service obligations;
  • • Provide coaching and support to develop capabilities of other team members;
  • • Proactively communicate with clients to determine how the firm can best meet their needs and objectives;
  • • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, referral partners and other stakeholders.

  • What we’re looking for
  • • Strong technical skills with an excellent understanding Superannuation, Retirement planning, Financial Modelling and Investments
  • • Experience working with Self Managed Super Funds highly regarded
  • • Desire for professional growth and skill development
  • • Be able to commence or have commenced your Professional Year
  • • Intermediate – advanced skills in Xplan, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • • Demonstrated intermediate level proficiency in Xplan is required for this role
  • • Relevant industry qualification (including undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Commerce or Diploma of Financial Planning)
  • • Minimum of two years industry experience, working in an Associate Adviser, Paraplanner, Client support role or similar
