Warehouse Assistant

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Albion Park Rail, New South Wales. This permanent, full-time position plays a crucial role in supporting our operations within the Fire Protection Industry. The ideal candidate will assist in the efficient management of warehouse activities, ensuring that materials and products are handled safely and effectively to meet our business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Organise and maintain inventory in the warehouse, ensuring items are stored correctly.
• Pick and pack orders for dispatch, following company procedures.
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Support the team in conducting regular stock checks and inventory audits.
• Conduct stock runs to our remote storage facilities on an ongoing basis
• Report any discrepancies or issues to the assets manager.
• Conduct pressure testing of fire extinguishers

Qualifications:

• No formal education required; however, a basic understanding of warehouse operations is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items safely.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
• Forklift Licence required
