The Opportunity

We are looking to fill multiple full-time Custody Officer positions within the Perth court system. With comprehensive training provided and locations ranging from Mandurah to Joondalup, this is a fantastic opportunity to embark on a rewarding career in a stable industry.

You will take part in a paid 6-week training program in Perth. During this time, you will begin working towards your Certificate III in Correctional Practices, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and nationally recognised qualification needed to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport and supervise detainees
  • Participate in court proceedings
  • Manage conflicts effectively with empathy and communication
  • Maintain a safe environment for detainees, staff, and the public
  • Conduct walking and mobile patrols
  • Oversee detainee movements and escort them to appointments and court, keeping accurate records

Requirements

  • No prior experience needed; we provide all necessary training
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Availability for paid 6-week training
  • Commitment to the role for 12 months to complete all qualifications
