About the Role

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our growing and supportive Finance Team, reporting to the Finance Lead and CFO. The right candidate will proactively manage customer accounts end to end, ensuring payments are received in a timely manner, reconciling bank and customer accounts, handling customer queries, and building strong professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

This role also provides essential support to the wider finance team with reporting, documentation, and general administrative tasks to maintain smooth operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Invoicing: Preparing timely invoicing and ensuring accuracy.
  • Aged Receivables and Credit Control: Tracking incoming payments, reviewing overdue accounts, negotiating payments, and following up on late payments.
  • Reporting & Reconciling: Reconciling ledgers and producing weekly and monthly AR reports. Assist Finance Lead with the preparation of monthly financials.
  • Client Onboarding and Administration: Managing the onboarding of new clients and ongoing administration and records management.
  • Administration and Support: Monitoring emails, document management and providing support to the Finance Team.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounts receivable, credit, finance administration, or bookkeeping.
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, management, or related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Certification or demonstrated experience with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Deputy, Employment Hero, Payroll).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in data entry, account reconciliation, and financial record management.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability and capacity to use initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Professional and proactive, reflecting organisational values at all times.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality with sensitive financial or personal information.
  • Practical working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other relevant programs.
