About the role
Primary responsibilities include:
- Process, catalogue, and shelve library resources and new acquisitions.
- Respond to enquiries at the library desk, by phone, or email
- Assist users in navigating library services, databases, and online resources.
- Support staff and students in locating physical and electronic library materials efficiently.
- Help users with common access issues.
Selection Criteria for permanent full-time role
Qualifications and Professional Standing:
• Relevant post-secondary qualification or equivalent experience/training in a Library related field.
Essential:
- Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
- Experience working in a Library Assistant role or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Experience in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of higher education practices and library/administrative processes.
- Competent in common desktop applications to support daily tasks and simple reporting.
- Effective oral and written communication skills for routine interaction with staff and students.
- Able to organize workload, follow instructions, and meet set deadlines.
- Full Australian Working Rights.
