Summary:

The Stock Controller plays a vital role in the Building and Construction industry by ensuring the efficient management of stock levels and inventory processes at our Acacia Ridge location. This permanent, full-time position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting project timelines through effective stock management.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure availability for ongoing projects.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Implement and maintain inventory management systems and processes.
  • Prepare reports on stock levels, usage, and forecasts for future needs.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior stock control staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in stock handling.
  • Collaborate with project managers to align stock availability with project schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in stock control or inventory management, preferably in the building and construction sector.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to stock handling.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are advantageous.
