Safety Business Partner

Summary:

The Safety Business Partner plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment within our manufacturing and production facilities in Brisbane and other locations across Australia. This position is responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, fostering a culture of safety, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to promote best practices and mitigate risks, ultimately contributing to the overall success and sustainability of our operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide training and support to employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor and analyse safety performance metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Act as a point of contact for safety-related queries and concerns within the organisation.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a safety role within the manufacturing or production industry.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications in safety management or related fields are advantageous.
