Product Specialist Sydney – South/West and ACT

Reporting to the State Business Manager, you will be responsible for the achievement of defined sales, volume and profit targets for the Sydney South and West territory including ACT. The role will require you to drive key relationships and provide portfolio support to both Public and Private Hospital with minimal Fertility/Obstetrics and Large retail pharmacy accounts. Travel Requirements: 3-4 trips annually to ACT (3 days duration) along with attendance at industry events and conferences as directed.
Duties:
Account Management
- Execute State Based Account strategies at a site level for Public & Private Hospitals, along with State Based Fertility Accounts and Large Retail Pharmacy sites as required within the defined territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the relevant sector of focus
- Manage day-to-day enquiries / issues with existing customer base
- Plan and execute Robust Territory Call plans to maximize volume and sales opportunities
Sales & Commercial Performance
- Achieve Regional sales targets and KPIs across all therapeutic areas
- Collaborate with State Business Manager to align key initiatives at a Site Level
- Deliver product presentations, training, and support to customer base
- Sell in offerings and follow up as part of call cycle to ensure long term distribution
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback. Provide insights to internal teams to inform strategy and product positioning.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Aligning with internal teams (Operations, Quality, Finance) to execute market strategies.
- Managing competing priorities and timelines across departments.
Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ sales experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical sales arena
- Previous Sales and Territory Management experience in the Hospital segment is preferred but not essential.
- The ability to create meaningful relationships with key customers to ensure long term value for our customer base
- Ability to detail and market detailed technical pharmaceutical products
- Strong commercial business acumen
- Excellent communicator with demonstrated ability to present to a senior management group clearly with defined outcomes
