Ettalong Diggers Club is the destination of choice on the Central Coast Peninsula for hospitality, live entertainment, sustainability, and lifestyles to benefit the community. We have 5 Beverage outlets, Bistro 51, Café, Street Food Kitchen, Function Facilities (our Esplanade Conference and Events Centre is a busy hub, hosting an array of events, weddings, wakes, and conferences), a variety of entertainment options, Courtesy Shuttle and much more. We have Mantra Ettalong Beach on site too.

We’re currently seeking expressions of interest from customer service focused Hospitality superstars. If this is you, and you also have experience with microphone work, then we would love to hear from you.
Your day to day (some of what you will be doing)
• Greeting members, guests, and team members with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Providing exceptional service in any of our operational areas – Beverage, Gaming, Functions, General Duties, Gaming with a SMILE.
• Promoting Ettalong Diggers Club facilities; promotions, services, and events.
• Maintain consistently high standards of professional conduct and work performance in all aspects of your role.
Essential
• Current RSA, RCG NSW Competency Card
What do we need from you?
• You will need to be available from open until close of trade, (inclusive of early mornings, afternoons and evenings/close) at a minimum between Friday and Sunday inclusive until close of trade, Thursday evening from 5pm until close of trade, and ALL public holidays (inclusive of Anzac Day, Easter, Christmas, and New Years’ periods) due to our operating requirements. Additional days and times of availability will be highly regarded. We will not approve time off during these periods, and during the period of probation.
• A strong work ethic! You are dependable, reliable, friendly, trustworthy, and committed to your role.
• You’re a team player, self-motivated and happy to remain back during busy trade periods.
• Excellent personal presentation standards and grooming, along with an elevated level of self-motivation.
• Barista experience along with the ability to carry 3 plates (highly desirable but not essential).
• A current driver’s licence and a reliable mode of transport to and from work is best suited to this role.
• Willingness to complete a National Police/Criminal History Check and an AML Check (the Club will pay for this).
• You will need to show that you are vaccinated for COVID-19 as we maintain this as part of our Board approved policy, and in the interest and safety of our staff members, guests, and Club members.
• Excellent personal presentation standards and grooming, along with an elevated level of self-motivation.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and thrive on working as part of a team, in a demanding environment.
• Display a calm disposition working under pressure.
• You must have full Australian legal working rights – Sponsorship is NOT available.
• You will need to be physically fit, be able to stand for relatively long periods (at times) and manoeuvre some heavy items (from time to time).
• Understand that the Club has outdoor smoking facilities, and these roles require some exposure to those areas (ashtray collection/wiping tables and machines).
