About the role
The Functions & Marketing Manager at Melton Country Club is responsible for leading the planning, promotion, and delivery of functions and events, while driving marketing initiatives that increase venue visibility, engagement, and revenue.
In this role, you will manage the end-to-end coordination of functions and events – from initial enquiry and site tours through to tailored proposals, delivery, and post-event follow up – acting as the primary point of contact for function clients and ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience. Working closely with venue operations and hospitality teams, you will oversee event preparation and on‑the‑day delivery to ensure every function is executed to a high standard and aligned with brand and organisational objectives.
You will also develop, implement, and oversee marketing and promotional strategies to grow functions, events, and overall venue awareness. This includes creating and managing content across digital platforms, social media, EDMs, and promotional materials, as well as planning and delivering targeted campaigns to drive attendance, engagement, and revenue growth.
This role plays a key part in monitoring function performance and marketing effectiveness, maintaining brand consistency, ensuring compliance with WHS, food safety, and liquor licensing requirements, and identifying opportunities to improve processes, customer experience, and commercial outcomes.
About you
You are a motivated and organised professional with demonstrated experience in functions, events,
hospitality, or marketing roles, and you enjoy balancing hands-on event delivery with creative marketing initiatives.
You bring proven experience coordinating functions or events from enquiry through to delivery, a strong understanding of marketing principles and promotional activities, and the ability to create and manage marketing content across digital platforms and social media. You are confident consulting with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, and are known for your exceptional attention to detail, strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
