The Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager reporting to the General Manager. The role is hybrid with three days a week in office in Heatherton at a minimum and two from home if desired.
This role will manage and optimise the full production lifecycle across all of our product categories, including textiles, furniture and electronics. This role ensures all products are produced to brand-quality standards, delivered on time, and are aligned with global market requirements. The Production Manager will oversee factories in China/Asia, own the critical path, drive continuous improvement, and support the business through growth and global expansion.
Key responsibilities in the position will include:
- Production Planning and Critical Path Ownership
- Supplier and Factory Management
- Quality Assurance and Factory Compliance
- Costing and Margin Visibility
- Production Systems and Reporting
- Continuous Improvement and Sustainability
- Travel to factories offshore (approximately 4-6 times per year
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Production Manager role.
- Experience with global supply chains
- Strong technical garment knowledge
- Proven experience managing offshore suppliers, production timelines, costings, budgets
- Strong understanding of end-to-end production processes, including critical path management and supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel
- Ability to prioritise, manage time effectively, thrive in a dynamic environment and is solutions oriented.
