Position: Qualified Veterinary Nurse – Overnight Care

About the Role

We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team for overnight shifts. This role involves providing attentive, independent care to hospitalised patients and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the night.

Shift Hours: 9:00pm – 7:00am

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overnight care for hospitalised patients independently
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as required
• Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Communicate updates and handovers to the day team
• Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for patients and staff

About You

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent Veterinary Technician/Veterinary qualification) or, at least 3 years of relevant work experience in Veterinary Nursing in lieu of formal qualifications
• Minimum 12 months previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting
• Confidence working independently during overnight shifts
• Ability to remain calm and efficient in emergency situations
• Strong commitment to animal welfare and patient care
• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to provide references upon request
