Job Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role requires knowledge of coffee flavors, brewing methods, and drink recipes.

Responsibilities:

– Prepare and serve beverages, snacks, and pastries in accordance with established recipes

– Offer advice to customers on drink choices based on their preferences

– Operate coffee machines and other equipment such as blenders or grinders to prepare beverages

– Clean and maintain equipment including coffee machines, blenders, grinders, etc.

– Ensure cleanliness of work area by wiping down counters, tables, utensils as needed

– Monitor stock levels of ingredients (coffee beans, milk alternatives) regularly

– Place orders for supplies as necessary to maintain stock levels

– Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers by greeting them warmly upon arrival

– Maintain knowledge of current menu offerings including seasonal specials or promotions

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent required

– Prior experience in a similar role preferred

(e.g., barista experience in a cafe or restaurant)

– Knowledge of different coffee brewing methods (espresso machine operation)

and various beverage recipes

(e.g., latte art skills) is essential

– Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently

during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.

– Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers politely,

answer their questions regarding menu items.

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality or cleanliness standards.

– Good interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members while delivering exceptional service.

– Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in order taking & preparation.
