An exciting new opportunity has arisen (Full-time permanent role) for a dynamic Pricing & Product Manager is accountable for shaping and executing Energy Bay Markets’ retail pricing and product strategy across Commercial & Industrial and Mass Market segments dispersed across Market and Embedded Network connection.
The role owns end to end pricing governance, ensuring accurate, compliant, and competitive pricing outcomes across all retail portfolios.
This role ensures compliance with VDO/DMO, drive network cost optimisation, and deliver commercially robust PPA and tolling pricing structures. The successful candidate witll lead the design and lifecycle management of retail products that support sustainable growth and market differentiation.
We are seeking an experience leader to support the overall financial performance of the Retail business, contributing to P&L outcomes through strategic insight, strong financial governance, and performance leadership.

As the Product & Pricing Manager, you will contribute to:
- Regulatory Compliance (VDO/DMO) & Pricing Governance: Ensures compliance with regulatory obligations associated with customer pricing thresholds in market and embedded network customers, as well as price notification obligations reflecting the current price notification guidelines.
- Market Assessment & Interaction: Provides market led insight on pricing trends, policy impacts, and developments to inform long term PPA, tolling, and load strategy, while leading commercial discussions and strengthening counterparty relationships.
- Market & Competitor monitoring: Monitor competitor pricing, product offerings and market positioning across NEM jurisdictions, while assessing regulatory, technology and customer trends impacting future product and pricing strategy.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, differentiation and improved customer value while protecting margin and risk outcomes.
- Network Costs & Metering Optimisation: Lead network CoGS optimisation across the mass market and embedded network portfolio
- Oversee NUoS and metering cost reconciliation in partnership with Finance
- Identify and deliver margin improvement opportunities through network cost efficiency
- Management of the Retail Product suite, ensuring optimal variety is maintained to present customer choice and flexibility, without resulting in inefficiency or duplication to business operations.
- Development & Implementation of new retail products, applicable to all customer segments, that deliver accretive value to the business, including Energy Solutions to customers to enhance business performance.
You will be successful in the role if you possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, or Commerce-related discipline.
- Proven experience in electricity pricing and financial modelling, supporting commercial, risk, and investment decision making.
- High integrity professional with the ability to deliver consistently strong outcomes aligned to brand, values, and service standards
- Strong understanding of the wholesale electricity market dynamics and demonstrate an ability to challenge to generate value through wholesale market interactions.
- Proven experience in electricity pricing analytics, forecasting, and/or investment modelling, with exposure to key accounts or corporate customers
- Confident communicator able to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels
- Advanced user of CRM platforms and MS Office, with strong capability in Excel based analysis
- Advanced user of Programming Language (ie: Python), and demonstrated ability to navigate big data sets, and derive useful insights through SQL (ie: MS SQL Server, SQLite)
- Customer centric problem solver, experienced in delivering tailored, client focused solutions
- Highly organised and detail driven, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and collaboration skills, ensuring delivery against agreed actions and timeframes.
- Dependable and professional, demonstrating consistency, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Influential communicator, able to engage stakeholders at all levels with clarity and credibility.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to pivot with changes in the electricity market.
