As Energy Bay’s Head of Information Technology, you will be reporting to the CEO and will play a pivotal role in leading enterprise-wide technology services supporting critical utilities operations, customer billing, and business systems, with accountability for internal teams, external service providers, and cybersecurity across a multi‑site organisation.

As the Head of Information Technology with Energy Bay you will:

IT Infrastructure & Operations: Ensuring resilient, standardised and secure IT operations by overseeing ISP connectivity and failover, maintaining enterprise architecture and communications-room hardware, optimising network arrangements, validating continuous data backups, and enforcing consistent systems and management practices across all offices and
subsidiaries.

Managed Service Provider (MSP) Oversight: Managing the selection, contracting and performance of IT and cybersecurity service providers, ensuring delivery meets SLAs and aligns with organisational goals.
- Driving cost optimisation, handles escalations, and reviews all managed and ad-hoc services to ensure value and continuous improvement.

SaaS Solutions Management: responsible for evaluating, implementing
and managing cloud-based business applications, including integrations,
configuration, performance monitoring, and vendor relationships.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management: leading EnergyBay’s Group cyber security posture by developing and enforcing security policies, monitoring and responding to threats, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing incident response, business continuity, and penetration testing.

Lead and Ensures Regulatory Compliance, drives continuous improvement through audits and insurance collaboration, and promotes
Energy Bay’s Group-wide security awareness and training.

Strategic Integration: provides strategic leadership across IT by aligning initiatives with business objectives, advising executives, and translating complex technical matters into clear, actionable insights.
- Governing IT investment and decision-making through effective resource optimisation, annual budgeting across all IT spend, and stewardship of IT-related Delegations of Authority.

Emerging Priorities and Cross Functional Support: manages end‑to‑end employee onboarding and offboarding, IT equipment selection and procurement, access provisioning, and the reliability of video conferencing
systems across all offices. It also supports urgent IT issues, maintains disaster recovery readiness, and ensures ongoing compliance with cyber
insurance requirements.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships across the broader Energy Bay’s community
to promote the exchange of ideas, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of best practices.
- IT Partner to executive leadership, manages vendors and budgets, and takes ownership of cyber security, cloud platforms, infrastructure, and user experience across the organisation.

Safety Leadership: Uphold Energy Bay’s Zero Harm commitment by following all WHS policies and instructions, promoting safe behaviours, and promptly reporting hazards, incidents, injuries and near misses to protect themselves and others.
You will be successful in the role if you possess:
- A tertiary or Bachelor’s qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years’ experience leading an IT function within a medium‑sized or growing organization.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex projects through strong project management capability.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Highly developed problem‑solving skills, complemented by strong attention to detail
- A customer‑centric mindset, focused on delivering reliable and high‑quality IT services.
- Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative team
environment.
- Excellent organisational skills written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Highly disciplined and organised, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet critical deadlines, and deliver against program milestones in dynamic environments.
- Thrives in high-pressure environments, with a proven ability to pivot and work in an agile workplace.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external clients & stakeholders.
