We are seeking a dynamic Finance Business Partner to join our team to partner and support the financial performance, governance, and scalability of Energy Bay’s asset portfolio, including embedded networks, solar, and BESS.
This is a key role that combines strong commercial acumen with technical accounting expertise to ensure robust financial control and partner with operations and investment teams to optimise asset performance and capital efficiency.

As Finance Business Partner you will:
- Be responsible for all financial reporting by prepare month end journals, ensuring the timely reporting of profit and loss analysis and other key financial data.
- Provide detailed analysis of assets financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Manage cashflow and track asset’s receivables and manage cash flows to ensure sufficient coverage.
- Oversee the formulation of FP&A including: maintenance, and refinement of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans to ensure the efficient allocation of resources across projects and business units.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive performance reports and financial analyses, providing strategic recommendations to support informed decision-making and enhance financial performance.
- Cultivate effective partnerships with senior leadership to ensure financial perspectives are embedded within strategic and operational decision-making.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and executive presentations for internal leadership and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment.
- Engage in ad hoc projects requiring advanced data analysis, financial modelling, and the delivery of strategic insights to support informed decision-making.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships across the broader finance community to promote the exchange of ideas, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of best practices.
- Demonstrates a strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, interpret complex data, and develop effective solutions to business challenges.
You will be successful in the role if you possess:
- Degree Qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA/CPA qualified with at least 5 years of experience in a financial management role, with exposure to energy industries.
- Experience in a finance business partnering role, working closely with senior leadership and operational teams to drive strategic business decisions.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills along with strong proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero, Procore, Excel, Alteryx).
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
- Strategic Insight: Demonstrates the ability to align financial analysis with overarching business objectives, enabling informed, value-driven decision-making.
- Collaborative Approach: Builds and maintains strong relationships across departments, fostering open communication and effective cross-functional teamwork.
- Proactive and Outcome-Oriented: Anticipates financial risks and opportunities, initiating timely actions to optimize financial performance.
- Precision and Accuracy: Upholds a meticulous attention to detail in financial reporting and strategic analysis, ensuring reliability and integrity.
