About the Role:
As a Business Support Officer – NDIS Admin your role will involve:
- Ensure compliance with NDIS policies and guidelines during program implementation.
- Assisting in the development of NDIS programs and proposing enhancements for improved service outcomes.
- Utilising HR software and other tools to create necessary training content as required.
- Organise team-building activities and events to promote team cohesion and morale.
- Assisting staff in troubleshooting problems as they arise, providing support and guidance to
ensure smooth operations.
- Support recruitment activities, including screening candidates, conducting interviews, and ensuring compliance by collecting and verifying mandatory documentation
- Performing inductions for new staff to ensure they are set up correctly and assisting them with systems and software.
- Supporting the finance team in processing claims, invoices, and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Managing the recording and tracking of incidents, accidents, and health and safety events for workers, ensuring timely reporting and follow-up actions.
Managing meeting bookings, emails and handling other administrative tasks to support NDIS management.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or business support role, preferably within the NDIS sector.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in the NDIS sector or other community service areas and a thorough understanding of the NDIS framework.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong skills in data analysis and presentation.
- Experience with Visual Care, Employment Hero, Budgetly or Xero is advantageous.
Mandatory Requirements
- Proof of citizenship (passport, birth certificate or citizenship certificate) or VISA if applicable.
- Current QLD Open Driver’s License.
- Must hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
- NDIS Workers Screening Yellow Card.
- Hold a current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate.
- A clean National Police check less than 6 months old.
- Completed NDIS Orientation Module.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, including working and communicating effectively with clients, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
- Ability to work in a busy environment, both independently and as a part of a team.
- Comply with & understand all privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Cultural awareness of all backgrounds.
