The Role
Our Implementation team partners with customers to deliver the Employment Hero platform, driving successful outcomes through efficient, high-quality implementations.
As our Data Configuration Specialist, you’ll support the Implementation team across all stages of the implementation, playing a key role in ensuring smooth and successful customer implementations. Your core focus will be ensuring accurate and timely data imports and system configuration—maintaining data quality, identifying configuration and data issues, and seeing them through to resolution.
You’ll also keep our records and project details up to date across Salesforce, HubSpot, and other internal systems, communicating clearly with stakeholders and consistently exceeding expectations.

You’ll collaborate closely across the Implementation function, supporting a mix of paid and unpaid services for new customers. Working alongside Implementation Consultants and our broader Client Experience teams, you’ll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and make a real impact in our fast-paced start-up culture.
As Employment Hero continues to evolve, so will this role—so you’ll need to be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with change. This position is available on a permanent, full-time basis.
Your key focus areas will be:
Supporting the end-to-end Implementation service offering by performing data imports, system configuration, checking and analyzing configuration issues, and carrying necessary resolutions and action items.
Completing administrative tasks, including systems updates, data review and input, project updates and other ad-hoc requests.
Ensuring data quality, integrity and security.
Supporting customers with their implementation journey.
Investigating and troubleshooting customer implementation challenges via thorough testing.
Contributing to continuous improvement strategies on the way we implement clients.
Continuous documentation for updating content to support system implementation.
Assisting with keeping our internal tools and tracking systems up to date, which may include applications such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Google docs etc.
Meeting & exceeding KPI’s, following all relevant procedures & standard operating procedures as laid out by Employment Hero and your manager.
Who you are:
To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way — operating with focus, agility, and a hunger for impact. For this role, you’ll also bring:
3+ years’ experience in a SaaS configuration environment.
Canadian HR and Payroll experience.
Experience in processing, reviewing, and reconciling large data sets.
Experience administering an HR Information System (HRIS) and/or payroll system is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills (e.g., pivots, lookups, data validation, reporting).
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously.
