Here’s what you’ll bring to have impact:
- Tertiary degree qualifications in geoscience/geology/hydrogeology/environment or related disciplines.
- Two plus years of technical experience in groundwater resources,
hydrogeological assessments, dewatering, groundwater monitoring and/or
environmental assessments – applying the fundamentals of groundwater hydrology
to real-world challenges.
- Demonstrated ability, energy and enthusiasm to undertake fieldwork (hydrogeological supervision of drilling and bore construction, aquifer testing or groundwater sampling).
- Competency in the use of relevant industry software such as MS Excel, Surfer, AQTESOLV, QGIS, MLU, ESdat, LogPlot and Python.
- An appreciation of relevant QLD and Commonwealth legislation and water policy.
- A valid Australian Driver’s License and excellent driving history (4WD experience is an advantage).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in the preparation of technical reports.
- Ability to manage your own time and priorities to assist the team in meeting project objectives and deadlines.
- A desire to learn, be mentored and mentor graduates or other early career professionals.
