As a contaminated land specialist with EMM you’ll work on a range of interesting and challenging projects comprising both field and office work. We’ll provide you with opportunities to develop your knowledge, and project management skills, whilst working alongside and being mentored by supportive and passionate experienced professionals.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • You’ll join a national team of experienced contaminated land specialists and start growing your experience. Here’s how you’ll contribute and have impact:
  • Preliminary Site Investigations (PSIs): Conduct desktop based due diligence, constraints analysis and PSI’s on a broad range of projects ranging from brownfield to renewable projects.
  • Intrusive Site Investigations: Conduct detailed field investigations to assess the nature and extent of contamination in soil, surface water, and groundwater.
  • Remediation Planning and Implementation: Help develop effective strategies for cleaning up contaminated sites.
  • Validation: Verify the success of remediation efforts through post-cleanup validation. Conduct thorough assessments and provide recommendations for further improvements if needed.
  • Data Management and Analysis: Utilise innovative digital field data capture techniques and data management platforms to capture field data.
  • Assist with proposal preparation, report writing, and liaising with clients.  

Here’s what you’ll bring to have impact:  

  • A degree in environmental science or engineering or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience undertaking PSIs, field investigations including drilling, soil sampling, groundwater/surface water monitoring, landfill gas/soil vapour monitoring, data management and reporting.
  • Experience of managing large datasets, with working knowledge of ESdat and Tablogs software.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to research, prepare documentation and draw conclusions to support recommendations for review. 
  • Highly organised and able to handle multiple tasks / projects.
  • A current/valid unrestricted driver’s license is an essential requirement for this position.
