Description

Summary:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by washing, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Load, operate and unload the dishwasher properly
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Maintain kitchen inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating needed supplies.
  • Place clean dishes and utensils in their designated storage areas.
  • Clean garbage cans and other kitchen equipment as required.
  • Assist kitchen staffs in simple food preparation tasks, such as portioning ingredients, peeling and slicing vegetables, and other tasks as needed.
  • Follow all standards and protocols for hygiene and safety as set by the establishment.
  • Attend training and meetings as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate and maintain dishwashing equipment
  • Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours and holidays when necessary
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
