About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager & Shift Leaders to support the day-to-day leadership and operations of one of our upcoming restaurant in Rozelle. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you’ll help lead the team, drive high standards across food quality, service, safety and cleanliness, and contribute to strong commercial performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and building a positive, high-performing team culture. Whether you’re already in an Assistant Manager role or ready to step up from a senior leadership position, this is an opportunity to grow with a brand that invests in its leaders.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the Restaurant Manager in leading daily restaurant operations
- Championing the EJ Way, a guest-first culture and ensuring consistently high service standards
- Leading, coaching, inspiring, energising and developing team members and Shift Leaders
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and performance management
- Preparing and managing rosters in line with operational requirements, labour budgets and compliance
- Overseeing food safety, cleanliness and WHS standards
- Managing stock levels, deliveries and inventory controls
- Supporting payroll processes and administrative tasks
- Helping drive sales, manage costs and deliver against restaurant KPIs
- Building strong team engagement and a positive, inclusive workplace
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years’ experience in a QSR or fast-paced hospitality environment
- Proven experience supporting or leading teams in a leadership role
- Strong communication and people leadership skills
- A calm, confident approach with the ability to lead under pressure
- Sound understanding of food safety, WHS and operational compliance
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- A genuine passion for food, people and guest experience
- Availability to work flexible rosters, including evenings and weekends
